GeoWorld Travel was founded in November 2012 by James Cresswell. James is a geologist who gained experience guiding in Antarctica, Svalbard, the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, the Geographical North Pole, the Russian Arctic, Northern Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Kenya and Botswana before founding GeoWorld Travel Ltd. He has a degree in Geology from Bristol University, and a Masters in Oceanography from Southampton University. He holds his UK summer mountain leader qualification and has worked as a hiking guide to the Burgess Shale fossil quarry in the Canadian Rockies. James' passion for communicating geosciences began when he started his career working in the television documentary industry. He was the researcher on a Discovery Channel geological series, and was part of the BBC’s ‘Blue Planet’ series. To date he has been lucky enough to travel to at least 110 countries on all continents.
GeoWorld Travel also operates 'Brecon Beacons Tours' which provides Sightseeing Tours and Guided Walks in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales.
