Given the current global outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19), we know that many of you will have concerns about upcoming travel plans. Please be assured that we will always prioritise guest, and employee, safety and wellbeing.

The global situation is changing on a daily basis and we are constantly monitoring developments and official advice. As the things develop, we may need to look at rescheduling trips or re-booking guests onto alternative departures or trips. We will, of course, be in communication with you about any enforced changes or proposed postponements.

Will my trip go ahead?

If the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office (UK FCO), global or local health authorities impose restrictions on movement within a country or advise against travel all together covering the date of departure, we will need make changes to itineraries or cancel trips. We will be in touch in this instance to let you know the options available to you.

We continue to monitor the World Health Organisation (WHO) information and the UK FCO advice for all countries that we run trips to on a daily basis, and we will let you know if we think that an increased risk in that country is likely to require changes to our trips.

Before departure

A number of countries are changing their entry requirements in relation to travel to/from various locations. We will, of course, try to keep our guests up to date with any significant changes where possible. However, all guests are requested to check entry requirements to their intended destination to ensure they meet any requirements that may have been put in place.

Changes to your holiday

Our policy in relation to changes to our trips is that we will always follow UK FCO advice - we will not operate trips to destinations where the advice is against all non-essential travel. If we have to cancel trips for this reason, guests will be offered the opportunity to transfer to a different GeoWorld Travel trip or the next year’s trip, or a full refund.

The decision about whether to cancel an upcoming trip is made on the basis of the most recently available official advice, which can change rapidly. Where the advice for a destination is temporarily against all non-essential travel, we will not normally cancel tours more than 4 weeks before the date of travel.

The well-being of our guests is always our top priority and we will continue to monitor the situation daily.
